Revamped Kids Area!

Our new, revamped Kidz Zone is going to rock this year!

 

Now called the Camp Rock Kidz Zone, this area will be sponsored by Cran-Hill Ranch. We are very excited to have them on board!

 

It will feature fun inflatables, tons of games, a petting zoo, dance parties, a giant sandbox, and a stage packed with artist performances and special visits.

Cran-Hill Ranch will also be bringing a four-sided climbing wall where kids can test their strength and agility.

This will be the ultimate, fun-filled  experience for your children. They won’t want to leave!

The FCA Sports Hub is the coolest new area that features all your favorite sports, including football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and more!

Practice your swing in the batting cages or catch the winning touchdown pass from a favorite college football player. This area will also gives students an opportunity to hear testimonies and be coached by Michigan college athletes and coaches.

Bring your friends and challenge each other by combining faith and sports.

Big Ticket Takeover FREE Event

Big Ticket Festival is taking over your local youth group!

The Big Ticket Takeover functions as an outreach to students in your local area and will include a rap and worship experience and a gospel presentation by George Moss CCCLX and band. The whole event will take 60 minutes total.

Be featured as our VIP guest on one (or ALL) night of the festival! A VIP pass will get you backstage for meet and greets with the artists, special seating right on main stage for the headlining acts, food and refreshments in our VIP tent and bragging rights!

Details include:

Cost is $75 per day or $150 for the Weekend (Full VIP pass)

* Does not include actual festival ticket. Must purchase an age appropriate ticket to get into the festival. You must also purchase a regular festival pass in order to redeem the VIP Ticket
*Only 70 seats per night are available.
*VIP section is open from 2pm to 11pm
*Seating is right on main stage.
*Vip tent behind stage includes complementary refreshments and exclusive artist meet and greets each day.
*Vip passes are transferable during the day and/or the days they are good for.  (So if a family of 4 buys 2 vip tickets they can take turns going back and forth).

5 years old and under must sit on parent’s lap, over 5 years old must purchase a separate ticket.

Indie Artist Competition Information

Once again the Big Ticket Indie Competition is back!

We will be selecting 24 artists and bands this year to rock out on the Indie Stage!

Big Ticket Indie Band Competition Info:

A press kit must be submitted by the deadline of March 1st.
Press kits should be emailed to www.Indie@bigticketfestival.com or mailed to 829 W. Main St. Suite G, Gaylord, MI 49735.
Twenty-four bands will be selected for spots of 8 per day.
Artists will pay $250 registration fee upon arrival at the Indie Stage which includes:
  • 1 forty minute performance slot including sound check
  • 1 3-day festival pass for EACH band member
  • 8 festival passes for the day you are playing that you may sell to recoup
  • registration fee ($280 value)
  • 1 food voucher per band member
  • Back stage passes for your day of performance
  • A merchandise table for your day of performance and 100% of merch sold.
  • 1 Indie area parking pass for your day of performance only

Performance times will be from 12pm to 6pm with a speaker from 1:00 – 1:30.

Bands should be on site AT LEAST 1 HOUR PRIOR to assigned performance slot.
Bands will load-in to specified staging areas. (up to 3 bands staged at any given time).
Volunteers will assist moving equipment ON & OFF stage UNLESS band declines.
Each band will get 40 min. slot WHICH INCLUDES a 20 min set-up/sound check
and a 20 min performance time.
Bands MUST work within their ALLOTED time slot. Judges will be notified if band
goes over. We will have a time-keeper with signs showing remaining minutes of play
time.
PLEASE: No in-ears. These require special monitor mixes and equipment.
Dedicated bass rig supplied (bands will not bring bass rig.. Only bass guitar)
Dedicated drum kit supplied: can change out cymbals, snare and pedals ONLY
Bands will supply sound man with plot of all needs: vocal mics, amp mics, db’s etc
Judges will grade on various aspects of each bands performance.
“Popular vote” will be recorded through text voting this year.
There will be one winner in each of the following Genres:
  • Worship
  • Rock/Pop
  • Hip-hop/Rap/Urban

These Winners will be offered paid spots on appropriate stages in 2013.

* One overall winner will be selected to represented The Big Ticket Festival in the
Christian Festival Association National Talent Search.

CFA National Talent Search:Each individual festival’s event winner will be combined with all of the
event winners. These finalists will be both voted on through a National
fan voting page (developed by Cornerstone Festival) and considered
by the CFA National Talent Search panel.Fan voting will take place between September 15 and October
31. Each festival will individually promote the National Talent Search
finalist voting process from their website, Facebook pages, etc. –
directing fans through the individual festival websites to the National
Talent Search voting form.The 2012 CFA National Talent Search Winner will be selected by
considering both the fan voting results and panel judges’ voting
selection.The ultimate winner of the CFA National Talent Search will be Final
winner to be selected and notified by November 7, 2012.Winner receives:Full performance slot at each participating 2013 CFA festival (stage
and time slot to be determined by each individual festival).Inclusion on artist list of each participating 2013 CFA festival.

Featuring of National winner on all participating CFA member festival
websites.

Listing on all participating CFA member festival Facebook pages
promoting winner.

3 songs recorded free in Chicago land. Artist is responsible for travel /
meals / lodging. We’ll take care of tracking / mixing.

 

 

The Ultimate Camping Experience

This year camping features over 400 water and electric spots and UNLIMITED primitive spots all on-site!

This plush, park-like setting is a great place to camp with your family and friends for three days of music, fun, and worship.

Below are the Rules and Regulations for camping at the Allegan County Fairgrounds. These rules are provided by the fair. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the fair office at (888)673-6501 for out of town and (269) 673-6501 for local:

  •  Secure a campsite by making a reservation. Full payment must be made prior to entry. Sorry, No Refunds!
  • Campsites will be assigned and each campsite purchased must have one tent or camper parked on it.
  • No ground fires, please!
  • Motorcycles, three wheel RV’s or golf carts are not allowed on the grounds unless they are used by Big Ticket Festival or Allegan County Fair employees/volunteers. Concessionaires may use golf carts.
  • Water & Electric campsites shall NOT be occupied by more than one camping unit during the event.  Primitive campsites will be given an area 20’ x 20’ and your camping set up must stay within this area.  At least one person (over 18) must be present at the campsite to supervise minors.
  • Water outlets are available in camping areas (except overflow area). Direct connections are FORBIDDEN. Gray water MAY NOT be disposed of on the ground, per Mich. State Laws. All waste must be disposed of properly by pumping. Anyone disposing of waste or water improperly will be evicted immediately from the fairgrounds. Please be prepared some water and electric may require 150 ft. connections
  • Each camping unit may use one electrical connection where available. Additional connections are not permitted. For fire safety ABSOLUTELY NO electrical cords are to be run to barns where animals are housed.
  • Allegan County Fair reserves the right to relocate any camper at any time we deem necessary and shall have full charge of camping area. They will assign locations, collect fees, and generally supervise.
  • Camping fees are as follows for the event June 14-16, 2012:
  1. $90 per unit for site including water and electric
  2. $70 per unit for site including electric only.
  3. $55 per unit for primitive campsite.
  4. If entering on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 you will be charged $20 per unit for the additional night.
  • Campers must have an official trailer pass for the event from the fair office or the festival. This pass must be visible from the roadside where you are parked.
  • Pets must be kept quiet, on a leash, on your campsite, and under control at all times. UNLESS THEY ARE A SPECIAL NEEDS PET! Owners are responsible for cleaning and removing all pet waste immediately.
  • If you remove your camper or trailer prior to Sunday of the event the fair reserves the right to resell your campsite.
  • Parties not meeting the camping requirements shall be removed from the fairgrounds.

 

CAMPING UNITES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE GROUNDS UNTIL WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 2012. Please see rates listed above.

 

YOU MUST BE PARKED BY OFFICAL FAIR PERSONNEL- IF YOU FAIL TO CONTACT THE FAIR TRAILER PERSONNEL UPON PARKING YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $20.00 FEE.
