Volunteers play an important part in our festival each year. Thank you very much for your interest in serving with us at this year’s Big Ticket Festival! We are changing our procedure a bit this year to simplify the process.
First, we ask that all volunteers fill out a Volunteer Application, please be as specific as possible with the area and times you will be able to serve. Applications will be reviewed by our coordinator team and those selected to volunteer will be contacted to confirm assignments and availability. Those selected as volunteers will be provided with One Day Festival Pass when they check-in to volunteer.
We are currently making changes to the volunteer application…please check back soon!
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and are subject to a background check. Security and Stage Crew volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Volunteer terms: A one day ticket will be given to each volunteer for the day that they are scheduled to work a shift. Each day shift is approximately 6 hours in length. (with a minimum of 5 hours and maximum of 7hrs depending on the area).
Each volunteer will receive one Big Ticket Festival Volunteer T shirt, which is required to be worn during the entirety of his/her shift(s).
Water will be provided for volunteers during their work shifts at their designated work areas, so please remember to stay hydrated while you work.
Additional Shirt Option: We appreciate that many of our volunteers work multiple days at the festival; and would like to offer you the option to purchase additional t-shirts for each additional day you are working. Since it is a requirement that each volunteer wear their volunteer shirt during all work shifts, this may be a great option for those who might not have the ability to wash their shirts between shifts and/or work in areas in which shirts get dirty easily (ie. stages, trash, or food). If you are interested in this option, please mark it on your application and you may order these through your area coordinator for a fee of $5/shirt
Volunteer Check-In: Open each day of the festival from 8am till 6:30pm. There will be signs directing you to the gate where volunteer check in will be taking place. Upon check-in you will receive your wristband, t-shirt, festival map and directions to the area you are scheduled to work in. Please plan enough time before your shift for parking and getting checked in. Each area depends heavily on the help of each volunteer to run as smoothly as possible. It is important that all volunteers are ready to begin their shift at their scheduled times…your promptness is greatly appreciated!
